Those of you possessing a historical sense of the West Michigan industrial community may recall a company known as Fluid Connections, Inc. (FCI). This Grand Rapids-based Fluid Power Distributor began in1976 as the first hose and connector specialist distributor in West Michigan. Our initial mission focused on providing hose and connector expertise along with the industry's leading product lines. While supporting virtually every sector of industry in the West Michigan MRO market, we went on to develop substantial OEM business in the heavy duty truck, hydraulic equipment, and commercial cleaning equipment industries. Our products and services extend into six states and four countries.

In 2001, we became the first independent Fluid Power Distributor in the area to become ISO 9000 certified.

Total Automation Solutions

Another milestone occurred in 2001. We became the exclusive distributor of FESTO-USA in West Michigan. This event garnered the attention of other world-class manufacturers and sparked the interest of automation visionaries. With the decision to expand our scope we decided to alter our name to reflect all of our capabilities, thus we now trade as FCI Automation, Inc.

In 2004, we moved to a new facility with dedicated work centers for automation sub-assemblies, OEM hose production, pneumatic build-and-test, kit packaging, and controls assembly. Our facility houses a dedicated technical training center for customers, employees, and associated distributors.

We now employ some of the most talented automation specialists in the entire state, capable of providing our customers with truly innovative solutions. We've attracted industry-recognized specialists in automation and controls engineering to develop the vision of automation that drives our growth and focuses upon your success.

Not to be out-done, our Hose and Connector business continues to grow. We continue to count on the expertise of our seasoned veterans. The combined experience of our three most senior hose and connector specialists alone totals more than 75 years. We solve the toughest problems of our OEM and MRO customers! Whether you need hose, connectors or entire assemblies, we possess the capability to make one or thousands.
